About

My name is Eddy St. Louis. I was born in Bayonnais, Haiti on December 13th, 1986. I live with my family that has nine people. First, my father’s name is Toussaint St. Louis. He is a pastor. My mother’s name is Yvana Simeon. I have four sisters and two brothers. The oldest is Clotilde Aime. She is already married. Her husband is Aime Dieseul. They have one kid whose name is Merlene Aime. She is in kindergarten. My second sister is Rachelle St. Louis. She just finished studying at school. Edith is my third sister, and she is in Cap-Haitian studying to be a teacher. My last sister is Gladys, and she is in 12th grade. My two brothers are Enock and Yvens. Enock has already finished school. Yvens is in 10th grade. I think that is enough information about the members of my family.

I started school when I was 7 years old because most parents in Bayonnais at this time did not know the importance of education.  Education was something new to them.  This is why when they would have a kid, they would not let him go to school until he was between seven and ten years old.  When I went to school, I got good grades on all exams. I finished primary school in 2002. I was very intelligent and was first in my class. Sometimes I was second. In 2002, I went to the official exams and got 873 out of 1200 points. I passed!

Since then, I have been in secondary school or high school. My average was 89 % on the first test. On all exams I was first in my class. After I went to 8th grade, I quickly passed this class with a good average. I got 80% on all four tests. I went to 9th grade. this class in Haiti has an official exam. I was in a classs which has 81 pupils. We went to Gonaives for the test. Only 15 pupils passed the exam, and I was the first. I got 852 out of 1400. This grade was one of the best in our entire department of Haiti! After going to 10th grade, I got a good average and passed this class. Last year I went to 11th grade. that is the hardest class in Haiti. I passed it, and for me it was very easy.

Now I just finished 13th grade, which is named “Bacc two,” or “Philo” in Haiti. It has an official exam that I took in June. That is enough information about my studies at high school.
